Last Meeting

At the last meeting we saw the smiling faces of: Dee Cole, Chuck Parker, Tim Hayes, Kevin Siegfried, Ed Nickerson, George Macleod, Jim & Judy Jesier, Scott Hendricksen, Kelly Bobbitt and Al Holden, Mark McNee.

As usual we had a great time at the meeting! Now that we are on our summer break, it is good that we get together for a picnic!

Just so that everyone is on the same page, here is a list of who is bringing what: Chuck Parker is picking up the hamburger, hot dogs, buns and soda. Kevin and Chuck are bringing coolers and Kevin is bringing ice. Kevin is also down for bottled water. Chuck is bringing the tableware from our existing inventory. (He washed, bleached and dried our used paper plates from last year and they turned out pretty good with only a few stains) Also, I believe Chuck is bringing table coverings. Ed Nickerson is supplying the charcoal lighter fluid. I (Al Holden) am bringing a bag of charcoal, Sliced Onions, Mustard, Catsup, Salt & Pepper and Michigan Cottage Cheese with Chives! And I will bring my Sponge Bob Crabby Patty Spatula and hot dog tongs.

The Oshtemo Park is just down from the Meijer Store on West Main which may be very handy. If you have a special drink you prefer you may want to bring it. They do not allow alcohol in the park.

Meeting Winners

This month there was quite a selection to choose from with Tim's Green perfume taking the $10 prize

Kevin displayed a beautiful 1873 Kalamazoo County directory. His was the 5th edition made and published by A.J. Shakespeare Book and Job Printer. The directory has all known residents with occupation and address! Also all businesses! 31 Saloons, 31 Attorneys, 25 Physicians & Surgeons, 52 Grocery Stores, & 19 Clergymen. Nice historical book that every body wanted to use more time looking through then they had.
